My first and foremost priority is creating a space of calm and safety. Anyone who is feeling overwhelmed cannot be effective in exploring and overcoming their anxiety issues. I want you to feel better about your skills in managing anxiety and not to leave worse than when you started.
I look to minimize anxiety and panic triggers, but, most importantly, I look to maximize calm “triggers.” I believe recovery is far more important than prevention. It is quite impossible to prevent an anxiety attack from striking, but it naturally lessens in intensity and duration as recovery tactics are strengthened. A panic attack only lasts a couple of minutes, a couple of hours at most. The feelings of despair and fear that follow can last days, months or years.
Now, imagine being able to shake off anxiety just minutes after it overwhelms you. That’s the confidence that I look to build in you.
With over 2 decades of personal experience with anxiety and 6 years of study in the field of psychology, I have the resources and knowledge to help reshape the way you perceive and experience anxiety so that it becomes a source of personal strength, not weakness.
